Kinesthetic Learning, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating enhanced learning in all areas through the use of integrated movement. Working with individuals, families, schools, and businesses since the early 1990's originally as the Washington, D.C. Edu-K Network, the group acquired nonprofit status in 1999. Our mission is to share the importance of using kinesthetic intelligence to enhance learning and productivity. Current research into how the body “grows the brain" supports the use of physical activity to develop cognitive abilities.

Kinesthetic Learning, Inc. embraces the rich philosophy of Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K). Our techniques demonstrate that abstract learning is built on concrete movement experiences as modeled by the Brain Gym® process. Providing support for the unique thinking style and development of the individual is the basis of our educational philosophy. Honoring the person within the larger context of his/her social system provides us with a continuing frame of reference. There are no learning disabilities, only learning blocks that are created to the extent that we have mastered the art of not moving. "Movement is the door to learning," as stated by Paul E. Dennison, Ph.D and originator of Brain Gym®. We are all life-long learners, the student and teacher are the same. Moving and learning together, we share life's opportunities with each other through our enhancement services.

Together we aspire to set the intent to be attuned to the needs of the learner, and for providing a model by which all students can experience stress-free living and learning.  In these times of great challenge, we provide tools for improving home life, relationships and education, not only for school age children, but also for adult family members. We believe that personal development is key to enhanced living and learning. This includes not only academic success, but also learning about one’s self. Discovering how one learns best, and how movement offers new ways to learn, opens the door to new levels of understanding of self and others.
